Alex Smith – Director of Business Development
I specialise in TV media planning and buying at Generation, with a key role of mine to ensure a level of strategic thinking when analysing my clients’ advertising efforts, from both the perspective of the planner and the buyer. The media landscape is constantly changing and it is vital to educate and inform our clients about how this change can and will impact their current efforts. At Generation Media we pride ourselves in working closely with our clients to create campaigns that are impactful and engaging, ultimately cutting through the noise and targeting their core audience.
In addition to my role as an Associate Director, I am also the agency’s Leader of New Business, which has seen me travel across the globe to reach out and offer assistance to potential advertisers.
Previous to my role at Generation and experience in planning at MediaCom, I graduated from Bournemouth University with a degree in Advertising and Marketing. I have also secured industry recognised qualifications to further my learning through the IPA Foundation Certificate.
Outside of work I love nothing more than relaxing with a good film, enjoying good food and listening to live Jazz music in my home town of Bournemouth. I also enjoy playing and reviewing the newest console releases – when time allows of course!
